Bus: The price of a ticket (valid for 1h) is 1 Euro. Tickets should be bought before getting on the bus in bars or newspaper stands. Bus lines plan Timetables & maps (ATAF website)

Taxi: The price from the Airport to the Train Station is about 15 €. The price from the Train Station to Porta Romana (close to the hotels Annalena, Classic, Villa Carlotta and I Colli) is about 10-12 €. The price from the Train Station to Villa Agape is about 15 €. Driving: In general it is not recommended. Florence is usually plagued by heavy traffic. Also it is forbidden to drive through the city centre. However driving is allowed in the area of the conference.

Weather

The climate of Florence is temperate with warm, dry summers and mildly cold winters with a short rain-season in the early winter months. The summer months generally have an average of 21 °C, with July and August being the two hottest months, averaging a daytime temperature of  31 °C. In July and August humidity can be particularly high. Light clothing is thus recommended.
